The people behind the insanity

As you should have guessed already this website is 100% fictional and a spoof of the film 'The Krays', starring Gary & Martin Kemp. What caused such insanity? Read on...

Both of us have an insane sense of humour anyway but there are various reasons why we chose to send-up the film 'The Krays'. Although we knew of Martin Kemp because of his EastEnders' character, Steve Owen, and we'd heard of Spandau Ballet when we were younger, it wasn't until seeing this film that the insanity began!

This website is also inspired by a comment Martin Kemp made in his autobiography 'True', in which he wrote:

"I would love to do another movie with Gary, and people have always talked about making a sequel to 'The Krays'. In fact there have been a few scripts come through the door, but until everything is right, I wouldn't even consider it. 'The Krays' is my finest moment on screen, the thing that I'm most proud of. The movie has become a 'British classic', and I for one wouldn't want to trample on that by making a second-rate sequel for a few quid. I know that Gary feels the same as we have spoken about it several times, usually after a few beers at the end of the night. We discuss all permutations... 'The Krays in glorious 3D...', 'The Kraysies' (a musical version)..., or what about 'The Krays versus Godzilla'? ... I'm not saying there's not another film to be made, I'm just saying it has to be right".

Naturally we agree. We're not saying they should make 'The Krays: The Musical: On Ice' or even another Krays film, but we know we're not alone when we say WE'D LOVE TO SEE GARY AND MARTIN WORKING TOGETHER IN ANOTHER PROJECT!!! Meanwhile we just have to make do with our (warped) imaginations - hence this musical.
